("API") is committed to providing a safe, secure, fun and uplifting web experience for your child. kidzap! is primarily a site for children, so we take the utmost care to ensure that content posted on the site is appropriate for them. Also, we use special measures to help children protect their privacy while online. kidzap! does not collect information from anyone under the age of 12 other than the necessary information needed for them to participate in the club.
We collect the parent's birth date to authenticate a person's age and make sure the person subscribing is an adult . We ask parents to provide their e-mail address, name, date of birth and gender. We also collect a child's birth date for age verification.

E-mail addresses are used to contact kidzap! subscribers and their parents regarding changes to the site and other club activities and announcements. Any information collected is for the sole use of kidzap! and will not be sold or shared with any other organization, company, or individual.

When a subscriber posts something on kidzap! the subscriber is asked to only give their nickname and the city they live in. This information is displayed on the site with their submission and is not used for any other purpose. All submissions are screened to ensure privacy, safety and appropriateness. Subscribers aren't allowed to post anything that will allow another person to easily identify them.

Parents can request that the information collected about their child be removed from our database. If you would like to cancel your child's subscription, please send an e-mail message to info@kidzap.com with your child's nickname and password requesting that your subscription be cancelled.
kidzap! uses the highest level of security available and have in place safeguards to protect the data and correctly use the information we collect online and prevent unauthorized access to information.

One final note to parents: ultimately the best form of Internet security is your involvement and participation in your child's Internet use. Be sure and talk to them about the potential hazards of using the Internet and what to do if they find themselves on an inappropriate site. At the same time, API will do everything we can do to provide a safe, fun and uplifting web experience for your child.
